- Higher rate (40%): £50,271 to £125,140

Your personal allowance reduces by £1 for every £2 earned above £100,000, meaning it's fully withdrawn by £125,140.
National Insurance
Class 1 National Insurance contributions are calculated on your weekly or monthly earnings:
- Primary threshold: £12,570 per year (£242 per week) — no NI due below this
- Main rate (8%): £12,570 to £50,270
- Higher rate (2%): Above £50,270
